I have a few questions and I hope you take to time to at least read them. I am sorry to say that I am an atheist and my questions go along with that matter to some extent. I try to be open-minded when discussing religion, so hopefully you will do the same. First, why exactly do we need god in the pledge of allegiance and on our money? Do Christians have such little faith that they have to recite the name of their \\\"creator\\\" every day and see it on their money everytime they look into their wallet? I thought church and state were to be separate, but apparently I was mistaken. Next, w
1. In honesty I don't really think we need "In God We Trust" or anything like on our money, or in the pledge of allegiance. The reason it is originally in there is because our nation was founded by Christians. SO they wanted to give praise where due. Whether it says that on our money or in the pledge does not change the fact that God is God. So to answer you question, we don't need it on there. 2. Like I said, I really don't care if it says "In God We Trust" on our dollar bills. Sadly that phrase has been watered down so much to most people it doesn't mea...

What do you do when a friend yells at you for copying them, and then they copy something that meant a whole lot to you?
I don't know exactly what the situation is. I mean if they are truly your friend you should be able to tell them that they are doing exactly what they told you not to do. I am sure it is more complicated than that, but it really doesn't have to be....

do you listen to "unchristian" music? and if not... how come?
I don't listen to a lot of it. There is no real reason except that In general I listen to Worship, Hip Hop and Hardcore. There is a lot of rad secular hardcore, but as far as Worship I can't get it. And most secular Hip Hop I am exposed to is MTV hip hop and they "rap" about stuff that really isn't worth my time. There are some local hardcore bands I am into that are not Christian, I just make sure the core of my life is centered on Christ so I can shine no matter what situation I am in. Good question....

It is said that 86% of Americans believe in God. Therefore I have a very hard time understanding why there is such a mess about having "In God We Trust" on our money and having God in the Pledge of Allegiance. Why don't we just tell the 14% to Sit Down and SHUT UP!!!
I honestly don't know. A lot of that was started by a guy who lives in Elk Grove (like 20 minutes from me). It doesn't make sense, but I mean people don't like to acknowledge a God when their lives our living contradictions to their lives. I know thats true for me, when I get sucked in by sin I wish I just didn't have God peering over my shoulder. Now PRAISE HIM, that he is there for my accountability, but it is probably something like that?...

hey...my school just made changes on the dresscode that included no religious writing/advertising on shirts (or anything else offensive or vulger and stuff). dont i have the right to express and practice our religion freely, which includes wearing "religious" shirts to school if they're not bashing other religions?
Katelyn, Unfortunatley I do not know much about the laws concerning seperation of church and state. I mean if they are doing a blanket thing where its all religions whether Christian or not, than you might just have to do it. Romans 13 talks about going with the law of the land. Sadly we live in a land that is not to excited about letting Jesus shine through people. Talk to your youth pastor about that, he may know your school situation better than I....

What is your favorite worship song, and why?
aww man thats a hard question. I would have to say "I Love You Lord" it is such a short song, and its simple, basic and straight to the point. I could sing it over and over again and it just reminds me more and more of how amazing he is, and how much he delights in hearing me sing to him. WHich is amazing in itself....

what do you think about the lyrics of pedro the lion?
Interesting. My favorite CD by Pedro the Lion is "the Whole EP" that CD is rad. Pretty much his testimony, from when he got is cocaine (or whatever) fix, to when he accepted Christ. A very powerful, pretty "controversial" content as far as Christian CD's go. And his new stuff, honestly I haven't listened to much of it, so I can't give a lot of opinion on it. I just know a lot of it is concept album stuff so he really tries to get down and dirty with the subject matter he is going into, which often is not a very happy one. I don't really have a problem with his stuff, granted I haven't he...

I am going into high school next semester. I know this will be a challenge of everything! Any good advice?
On the topic of how do you know if a girl is Christian. How bout this, ask yourself what it is to be a Christian, a follower of Christ. Once you have an answer you are satisfied with, talk to your parents about it even. Ask the girl you like what it means to her to be a Christian, if your answers are somewhat the same chances are her faith is pretty strong. But also keep praying. High School is a rough time. Pretty much throughout highschool people made fun of me which really wore me down. But I look back and high school was great, I loved it and would do it again. So don't go into it ...

Why do you think that you all are punks? None I know listens to christian rock. It's kind of pathetic how you all are trying to be rebelious when you are a part of the most common religion in the U.S. I also don't think you you sholud be telling kids not to date girls who aren't christian because it will "bring them down". That just shows your intolerance for people who don'y have the same belifs as you. Fundementalists like you are the main reason that hate crimes still continue in the world today. Most atheists, and even satinists are more accepting to other religions as you all are. One of
In no way do I think I am punk. I do not think "punks" realy exist anymore, I enjoy that style of music but do not claim "punk" it in any way. I am not intolerant towards non Christian people in anyway, some of my best friends are not Christian and I love them just as much as my Christian friends. But the truth of the matter is, for me, if I were to date them I would get in situations that may not be the best for me so I choose not to. I am sorry if that offends you, but that is just what I need to do for myself. As far as being a fundamentalist, and the reason for hate crimes. If you kn...

I attend Abundant Love Church and Breev Eazie did a performance for us. I bought the Buffalo Wings and Bleu Cheese cd from him while he was there. I truly enjoyed it and it has become my favorite cd. I would like to purchase the Solid Food Appitizer Mixtape, But I'm not sure when it comes out or where to purchase it from. If you could tell me if Breev Eazie has an email address or tell me how I could get in contact with him I would really appreciate it. Thank you and may God bless you.

i've listened to hardcore for the last 2 or 3 years and i check out the list of bands on this site and i'm confused how some of those bands made the list. some i understand while other leave me confused. how do you determine when a band is christian, don't they have to be outright and proud of it? explain how you determine if you would?
If you let me know what bands you are talking about I will be glad to look into them, you can e-mail me on the contact page. We do our best to check out to see if every band that we get on our lists are Christian. They submit their band, we check their website: bio, lyrics, shows any sign to see if they are. If there isn't anything blatant on their than we e-mail them about it. If we don't get a reply we don't add it to the site. There can be bands that are outright proud of their faith and love Christ with all their heart but not put his name all over their website, for example, Norma Je...

Hi Bryce, My mother always tells me, that it is important to keep focused on liking christian girls. Why is this so important? There are so many girls that like me, and they are very nice. I'm 14 yrs. old and I know I can't date right now. But my mom says that some girls that say they are christian aren't really. So how do I know? Thanks, for getting back to me about the music question last month.
Stephen, getting back to you is my pleasure totally. There is a verse in Matthew that talks about being "unequally yolked" in our relationships. The basic idea of the verse is that dating someone who is not Christian is most likely going to do more harm than help (to you.) imagine standing on top of a table and trying to pull someone up onto it without help, pretty tough right? Well now imagine letting the person on the ground trying to pull you off, that is a lot easier. Same thing in relationships it is a lot easier for you to be pulled down than it is to pull people up. It is really h...

What do you think of system of a down?
I think they are a talented band, very unique in their own right. And I think the singer knows quite about different religions, and about Jesus, he quotes Jesus in their song "Chop Sui" (spelling?) I think they need prayer, so keep them in your prayers!...
